Keshi takes you into his dreams on the Requiem World Tour live in Fairfax, Virginia

Keshi is an singer and songwriter from Houston, Texas. He has made a name in today’s music scene with his heart-achingly beautiful lyrics and smooth melodies. Keshi went from writing songs and producing music in his bedroom to selling out concert arenas. His achievement of making his dreams come true was shown for everyone to see during his concert in Fairfax, Virginia on July, 31st 2025 at EagleBank Arena.

Keshi opened the show with his song “Amen”, which is the introduction to his latest album “Requiem”. “Amen” is a song that is made to be performed in a arena. The song builds up sonically like how the crowd’s cheers and support rose higher in EagleBank Arena that night. Keshi’s stage presence is pure confidence as well as a sense of vulnerability that fans and new listeners can feel in his voice. Keshi’s honest confidence is something I think many can see within themselves. It is shown even in his song lyrics for “Amen”.

All of the glory
All of the weight of the world
On my shoulders crashing down on me
But I want more
I want more //

- “Amen” by Keshi

“Say” is another song Keshi performed next that night and another hit from the Requiem album. The crowd in Fairfax was really excited for this song, as it has those lyrics that you can learn the lyrics to quickly. I love the lyrics of this song and how clearly the fans sung them back to Keshi.

Say the word
I know what you're thinking, but just say it first
Been waiting all this time for you to take your turn
In my arms for a second
Baby, say the word, and I'll be yours //

= Say by Keshi

Keshi performed most of his songs that night with either a acoustic or electric guitar. It was very impressive to see him play his own songs that he wrote live on stage to many adoring fans. Keshi’s live band accompanied him amazingly. The raw passion and power of a live band really takes Keshi’s songs to a higher level. Keshi’s songs are already filled with many sentiments of love, yearning and power, It’s beautiful to hear these feelings amplified with a live band in a arena.

Keshi performed his song “Drunk” from deep within his discography. It’s a classic Keshi song and a fan favorite. He asked for the crowd to sing it louder than any other city has ever done it. Fairfax delivered that night and sang “Drunk” back to him with all their heart. Keshi cried after hearing this heart warming moment. The crowd assured him it was okay and Keshi thanked the crowd for their support. He reminisced about how he would write songs in a apartment in the past and now he is singing those same songs in arenas. It was such a beautiful moment to hear “Drunk” sung in that way. I would love to relive it again. I’m sure Keshi and the crowd in Fairfax feel the same way.

“Texas” is a song on the Requiem album. It’s a sentimental ballad song that describes Keshi’s love for his hometown in Texas. In the lyrics he describes his yearning for going back home, to where he felt whole. Even if you have never been to Texas, the song is written in such a beautiful way where you feel like you can put yourself in his shoes. You relate it toward your hometown or relate it to what or who makes you feel at home. During that night in Fairfax, a wave of comfort washed over the crowd as Keshi played his acoustic guitar and sung sweetly.

“ID” was the last song Keshi played that night. “ID” is a bitter-sweet and angelic reprise to his opening song “Amen” as it speaks about the need for finding your identity, the pressure of success and measuring your meter of greed. These topics are things Keshi sings about dealing with in his mind and in his reality. The song begins with such an angelic and atmospheric vibe. Then it transitions into an EDM and techno type of song. Which sounds like it would be played in a video game or scene in a anime where the main character finds his true self . I think Keshi choosing this song to end the concert makes so much sense. it wraps up the show and references how the show began. The requiem concert feels like i am hearing the album played exactly how Keshi felt when he wrote it. He crafted this tour and a concert purely from his personal passion and drive to create and share music. Requiem is a show that takes you through his dreams and his mind.
