KengNamping bring ‘Khemjira’ to fans in New York City for their first U.S. fan meeting!

Keng and Namping are actors from Thailand. Their latest show ‘Khemjira’ has captured the hearts of many fans across the world. Due to the passionate elements from Thailand’s spiritual shaman culture and the groundbreaking acting from Keng and Namping. On July 17th, The KtopiaX team had the honor to interview these talented actors and ask about their time 1st time meeting their fans in New York City. My co-host and friend, Naty and I interviewed this lovely duo and she introduced me to their amazing filmography and music. Naty and I met through our love of Kpop and she introdcued to Thailand’s BL show scene. My best friend Amirah, who I’ve known since I was 4 years old was my camera operator. It was truly a beautiful experience working all together and getting to know more about Keng and Namping. I really enjoyed talking to them about their music and acting style. I also had the chance to take their portraits and capture moments during their show. Their fans were so excited to meet them for the 1st time. The room was filled with loved and laughter and it’s a day I hold dear to my heart and I know their fans do as well. Here is the interview we did with KengNamping!

After enchanting us with their top hit series ‘Khemjira’, the main actors of the show Keng and Namping have come to visit the US for the first time! Have they come to leave a spell on us? Not quite yet, that will be on their upcoming show. But let's cheer and wait for them as we go through memories and get to know them even better! This is your fan writer Naty bringing you the premise on the wonderful event that happened on Friday, June 17th of 2026. Let’s go from the beginning, shall we?

The KtopiaX team went through a whole adventure to arrive at this event. We are talking about getting on a bus at 3 am, switching to a bus at 5 am, and arriving in New York at 7 am. We were coming from Maryland after all, so it was a 4 hour trip full of tiredness for not sleeping and at the same time excitement. As a team we never had travelled for a fanmeet; it was a brand new experience, in a city we were barely familiar with, but still we had a blast meeting New York! And as the time approached, the more butterflies I felt inside my stomach; because the biggest moment in my life was about to happen: my first interview!

Yes, it was my first time interviewing someone, and for that someone to be a couple I admired a lot and enjoyed every bit of their show? I was losing my mind. But fangirl Naty needed to stay calm for those 20 minutes of interview.

We arrived a little early to the venue, around 2:30 pm to prepare for our interview with Kengnamping. But then we even got to interview some of the fans waiting to enter! It was quick with one to two questions, but it felt great to see all the love and support Kengnamping has. You could feel it, they have a fandom that adores them with all their hearts. Really sweet people, you will get to see the interview soon! Thank you to all that participated.

After the interview it was the time for us to enter the venue, we got taken to set up the cameras, prepare the mics, and then, that's when we got to meet KengNamping!

From the beginning, both of them were so sweet. When we sat together for the interview, the first thing they asked was for our names, which I will never forget that they said my name (ok fangirl Naty, time to go back to sleep). And as the interview went through, we had some laughs, I was able to break away from my nervousness , and I just really had a blast interviewing and getting to know Keng and Namping. I was even able to bring out and let them know how loved they are on an international basis, asking some questions from their Latin American fans and representing them there, they even asked me how to greet the fans in Spanish. I was and am happy to have represented our latin american fanbase, that is my purpose on this as well. Mi bella gente, hemos sido reconocidos!

And as how beautiful the interview started, it also ended the same way. After talking for a while, we had to say our goodbyes; but what stuck with me is how they still remembered our names at the end. They really were the sweetest guys I have ever got the chance to meet, and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity I got. Thank you for everything, KengNamping and their staff!

Jumping to around 20 minutes later, it was finally time for the event to start! Doors opened. And when I entered the venue it looked so pretty. There was a big screen on the stage, showing a cute background that said “Kengnamping 1st Fanmeeting in USA”. The background seemed to have elements of New York and Los Angeles, both cities they managed to visit during this trip to the US (hopefully they get to explore more states in the future!).

Keng and Namping came out around 10 minutes later for a quick soundcheck! They came out using the official shirt for this fanmeet, which looked adorable. They greeted their fans, talked to us for a few minutes and sang a snippet of one of their songs. The soundcheck was short but sweet, with Namping even teasing he had a ‘Secret’. I wonder what it is! (i already know haha)

After soundcheck they left to get ready for the fanmeet. That's when fans took a chance to walk around, get something to drink or meet more fans! I decided to stay and relax on my seat, when suddenly I got approached by some fans that handed me freebies! And let me tell you guys, the freebies did not disappoint. From a cute bookmark, a beautiful handmade bracelet that I keep wearing as I write this, to a funny fuzzy keng stickman, the freebies were spectacular! I am deeply thankful to all the fans that handed this out; big shoutout to you guys

It was around 30 minutes after soundcheck for KengNamping to finally come back to the stage. It started with a short videoclip of them which I adored to see and then they finally came out! And I was astonished by their looks. They were wearing a more traditional thai outfit in dark red, it looked really elegant and the guys were stylish perfectly. The show started with them singing the song ‘Mantra’, from the Khemjira Soundtrack. And let me tell you; the vocals were on point. Receiving this duo version of Mantra was sweet, I was already a big fan of their harmonies, but hearing them live on this song was a life changing experience. You couldn't help it to lay down in your seat, relax to their voices and enjoy the beautiful moment. When the song finished, the crowd erupted (with me as well), giving them a warm welcome to their first event in the US.

With the event host, the event had officially started. After greeting the fans once more, Kengnamping took a seat and responded to some questions the host had ready for them. They talked about how excited they were to meet international fans, and their experience so far in New York.

That is when Namping was able to reveal his secret (which i knew already since he told us about it in the interview). They took some cute pictures in the Park and around the City of New York! Really cute pictures, also showing their impeccable fashion taste. Namping shared his clothing on the pictures were inspired from a show he has watched, meanwhile Keng shared how Namping took his hat “just for a little bit”. We all know who the new owner of this hat is! The pictures are now up on Instagram, go check them out if you haven’t yet!

After sharing their beautiful pictures to the fans, we jumped to the first game in the fanmeet! freestyle acting. The fans chose a genre for them to act in, it ended up being fantasy (i wished the royal theme won!). And after a couple minutes, we saw Namping act as an evil haunted Doll and Keng being the cleaner/Maintenance guy who gets attacked by the doll! Indeed a scary fantasy, however their freestyle was quite fun to watch. They even asked why we were laughing when it was supposed to be scary.

After the fun game, we got to see another beautiful performance! Namping performed his solo Ost from Khemjira, however, he asked Keng to join him! We won a beautiful duo from this song originally being a solo. It was really beautiful to see their harmonies again. Can we take a minute to once more admire their beautiful vocals? We already let them know in the interview how great they were, but really, hearing them live showed once more how beautiful vocals they have. I need to hear more of them asap!

When their beautiful performance came to the end, after a great amount of cheers, we moved to the next segment: fan q&a! Similar to what we did on the interview with international questions of fans, the fans in the event left their questions in tiny papers and KengNamping got to choose random papers to respond to the questions inside them. There were some interesting or fun questions to see them answer! The fans did amazing with their questions, but I still wonder…do they really not have a least favorite Thai meal?

We got blessed with another performance after answering these fan questions, which is actually my favorite song from the whole Khemjira Ost. Together, Keng and Namping sang ‘Never Apart’, and once more their vocals were heavenly. I had so many emotions watching this performance since this song is really such a soft, emotional song. My favorite type of song, but also the type to make me really teary. They did such an amazing performance of ‘Never Apart’, it will always be stuck in my heart (and I bet on many fans as well!)

And now we jump to their next segment, because after all the tears near to come out after that beautiful performance, now we got the game section! And this was so fun to watch. Plenty of activities with one goal in mind: If they won the games, they would win polaroids to give out to the fans. So they both locked in, and started the games! May the odds be in their favor.

First we had the photo game, where one of them had to use a blindfold (which were this funny fuzzy glasses) and try to guess the pose the other one was imitating. However, the pose the other would imitate would be a pose they did previously on their instagram feed! We got to see some great pictures they have on instagram, but also, we saw them try to imitate that pose again with the other needing to guess the pose in one minute. They easily won that game, giving us some sassy moments since they looked like divas on those glasses (even though Keng was standing still when he put them on, he was still serving).

Next was the sticky note game, which everyone has seen before, right? It's a popular game! They had to put the sticky notes and the other one would need to find them with their eyes closed (even though we saw Namping peaking). They weren't able to find every single one of them, but still did good with half of them! Eventually they won 8 polaroids in total for the fans.

A raffle was made, in which all the seat numbers were put in a container and both Keng and Namping got to pull out four each. Whoever’s seat was named, they won a polaroid! Not gonna lie, i wanted one so badly, but luck wasn’t on my side this time (someday tho!!). And luck wasn’t on Keng's side either since he kept pulling seats in the WW row…which only had like 3 people and their seats were never chosen. We heard Keng say WW at least 5 times before a winner finally came out, it was an experience. But eventually, all 8 fans were chosen! And they got some cute signed polaroids from KengNamping. Congrats to all the fans! Treasure those polas with all your hearts.

After the game it was the sad time to say goodbye. )=

Which made me sad! Because I knew I was going to miss them and I did end up missing them, even as I write this (post concert depression always hits me hard). They were really both so sweet saying their goodbyes to the fans. But we know it isn’t a full goodbye! It is more of a “see you later”, because they have to come back, right? Either if it is with Magic Lover or Holding To The Moon, let’s all hope they come back to the US to go through the fun all over again! If so, I'll be back here to cover up all the details again!

Their final goodbye was with a performance of ‘Secure’, which fun fact, they sang this song on the soundcheck! I did not realise it when I was typing about the soundcheck, but now I know! And what a beautiful song. I did not hear this one before, but after finding out about it with this performance it will indeed join my playlists. This song also showcases the beautiful harmonies they do together, how beautifully their voices intertwine together. And by the end of the performance, we got let go by KengNamping with a beautiful melody in mind and a lot of precious memories made.

So, final thoughts on KengNamping In NYC?

What an experience. I had a blast having the opportunity to interview these wonderful guys as well as experiencing the event. I am really grateful for everything KengNamping and the Kohai team had done to make this experience unforgettable, and let’s hope to reunite for a next time soon! And let’s bring the child OhAe next time, Super Please? I know OhAe would love to meet his international grandma’s/grandpa’s.
